FLX Tallow began as a quest to find relief for our youngest son's eczema. After trying numerous (ok, all of them) commercial products with little success, we turned to the traditional, natural solution of tallow making.
Tallow is an age-old remedy known for its healing & nourishing properties. We source 100% grass-fed & grass-finished, pasture-raised cows locally from right here in the Finger Lakes (NY).

Our Process
Tallow is rendered animal fat, typically derived from cattle or sheep. FLX Tallow sources 100% grassfed and finished, pasture-raised cows locally to ensure the highest beneficial nutrient content for our products. We purify our tallow with a triple rendering process to extract the purest form of tallow possible. This allows us to separate out impurities such as proteins and water and then filter the liquid tallow multiple times to achieve a clean, refined natural product.
Once we have meticulously purified our tallow through this triple rendering process, we blend it with a curated selection of skin-nourishing ingredients and whip it to craft our luxurious balms. This fusion ensures our products not only deeply hydrate and protect, but also promote healthy, radiant skin with every use.
